Take a peak inside our special night featuring illustrious guests, signature cocktails, and more…

How better to celebrate your birthday than with a massive party filled with all your friends? Earlier this week, we hosted a get-together celebrating the launch of our latest issue, covered by no other than the electric, Towa Bird. Held at the iconic Soho Revue Gallery, guests mixed and mingled as they clinked glasses of distinctive Music Issue cocktails. The air was filled with excitement as the guests, a mix of London’s Finest—from musicians Amy Gadiaga, Cassius Cobbson, Maddy Coombs from Tomorrow’s Warriors to Fraser T Smith.

Mission’s contributing stylists were in attendance also, Anders Soelvsten Thomsen, David Bradshaw, Julia Veitch and Oliver Volquardsen—arriving in their most stylish attire. Harris Elliot, stylist, creative director, and curator of the current show at Somerset House, “The Missing Thread,” swung by to celebrate. Along with the founder of fashion label Studio Nicholson, Nick Wakeman whose guests included stylist Jodie Barnes, British filmmaker and composer Gary Tarn, Lizzie and Todd Kline, Valentino model Teddy Corsica, and sustainable knitwear designer Oscar Ouyang. Future creatives from Alexander McQueen’s foundation, Sarabande Foundation came out en masse to celebrate the anniversary.

Activists and artists we’ve previously collaborated with such as Imarn Ayton, James Corbin, Daniel Lismore, and sustainability activist Aja Barber, were also in attendance. Barber’s friend Mawli Quist of The OR Foundation was making a pit stop before heading back to Ghana. And finally, editors and writers from The Perfect Magazine and The Face, where Mission Magazine’s founder Karina Givargisoff previously worked, also came and supported.

“It was incredible to see all the hard work over the last 10 issues come together in one place. To connect and meet so many people I often don’t have the privilege to meet or interview. It was humbling and equally overwhelming.” Karina Givargisoff, Founder.

It was an eclectic display of sophistication, with attendees effortlessly combining style with an edgy, vibrant energy of London street style. Not only were the drinks flowing, but there was also the opportunity to check out the new magazine, via a QR code, which includes the likes of Audrey Nuna, Chika, Dave Meyers, Bombino, Richie Hawtin, and more. As we usher in a new era with this exciting new milestone, we also take a moment to cherish our past and the creatives and collaborators who helped us get here.
